There are many reasons why the Cappella School of Music is the #1 choice in Springfield Township for music lessons on all instruments and voice. In addition to the finest staff of caring, dedicated, professional teachers in the area, Cappella goes the extra mile as we present six concerts per year for our students and feature an active Ensemble schedule ranging from Vocal Acapella groups to Rock and Roll bands, all offered at the most affordable pricing in the region and open to regularly scheduled private students and young musicians otherwise not attending Cappella. Music and teaching are our life blood and we look forward to welcoming your family to our own.

Throughout the year, Cappella offers an ongoing series of Band & Workshop Sessions, where our young musicians meet each week under the tutelage of our staff and hone their skills as they make music together. At the end of the sessions, the bands perform at one of our concerts.
Learning to play together is a very important part of the process of developing into an accomplished musician. It is about listening as well as playing, staying together in the groove, and shaping a larger performance from a group of smaller parts.
The band sessions are always increasing in popularity, in part because we offer the most affordable pricing in the area for this kind of ensemble experience. They are open to all students, whether or not those students take private lessons at Cappella. For students who do not take private lessons at Cappella, the participation fee is $140, which covers eight hours of instruction plus the concert. Private students at Cappella pay a steeply discounted rate.
Our next group of ensembles start the week of Monday, October 26th and culminate with our Saturday, December 19th Holiday Concert at our home stomping grounds, Saint Philips Church in Oreland.
Here are the details on our next slate of offerings:

Rory is a multi-instrumentalist and brings to the rehearsals a great sense of groove and fun. He works with the band members to shape them into a tight, performing unit and helps them to develop their sense of how to fit the component parts of a rock band together to make the music come alive. The rock band will meet

One of the greatest joys of singing is that of blending your voice in unison with other singers. In the Vocal Harmony Group, players and singers will come together to blend harmonies and instrumentation on covers of current Pop hits, classics and maybe even their own compositions. This is a great opportunity for musicians on all instruments, but particularly for singers, to take a giant step in developing their own musicianship and their ability to work with others in a band setting. It is also a great chance for students interested in musical theater to develop the vocal skills necessary to work the musical stage!

Monique Canniere leads our Pop Band, in which participants explore the softer edge of Rock and Roll, playing favorites from the world of Rock and Pop, as well as original compositions. This is a great band for all instruments and levels, and especially fun for students who like to play and sing. In addition to the standard compliment of guitar, bass, piano and drums, the Pop band is also a great vehichle for string players.
