We are always happy to hear from teachers who would like to be a part of the best school in the area and welcome you to submit your resumé for our consideration. While we are not always hiring, we will keep your information on file for a year and will review your experience and credentials when the need for additional staff arises. Our track record is such that we do not have a high degree of staff turnover, so we must be doing something right! From time to time, we will add specific staffing needs to this page and would invite you to check back often.

The Cappella School of Music is seeking dynamic Music teachers:
Love sharing the gift of making music? Do you have experience in teaching an instrument or voice? We’d like to hear from you.
The Cappella School of Music is expanding its teaching staff, with great teachers of piano, voice, and classical strings.
You’ll be working with kids, ages 6 to 16, and adult students as well in both popular and classical genres. Most of our students range in experience from beginner through intermediate, with a few advanced students as well. A degree in Music or considerable experience as a working musician is a must, but more important is your ability to engage the students on a level that lets them have fun while learning.
Our school is now in its seventeenth year of operation and has a great and long tenured staff. We are looking for special candidates to join our ranks and help us to continue to deliver the very best musical instruction in the area.
With most pandemic restrictions lifted, we are returning to in-person lessons at our well equipped school in suburban Oreland, and are hiring teachers for In-Person lessons. While we have immediate needs for teachers of piano, voice, guitar and violin, we would be very happy to hear from great candidates in other musical areas.
Cappella is located in Oreland, five minutes from Glenside, Chestnut Hill and Fort Washington. We are a five minute walk from the Oreland Septa Rail station, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are open Monday through Thursday, 3:00-8:00p.m., and Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
For immediate consideration, please e-mail your resume, indicating your availability and the instruments you are qualified to teach. All resumés will also be kept on file for one year. Specialists in one instrument are encouraged to apply, but for obvious reasons, generalists often stand the best chance of quickly developing a sizable roster.
Pay Scale: Beginning teachers start at $25.00 per hour and advance to $30.00 per hour with tenure.
