Are We the Right School for You?

The Cappella School of Music offers private  music lessons on all major instruments and voice, to students of all ages and ability levels. Serving the musical community  since 2005, Cappella offers outstanding music instruction, tailored to the needs of the individual student. Our exceptional faculty of teachers are either college trained or long-term, professional musicians who offer instruction in all styles of music from classical to contemporary pop and rock.

In addition to guitar, piano, voice , bass and drums, Cappella offers instruction on all classical strings and the horn, reed and woodwind band instruments. While our focus is on weekly private lessons, we also offer audition prep classes and voice coaching classes for singers, and Master classes for advanced students. For beginners, we offer free introductory classes. These lessons allow students to get their feet wet, not just with the online music lesson process, but also allow them to test-drive our outstanding teaching staff as well.

Cappella is open year round and, while students are encouraged to study with us all year, it is possible for students to start and stop studies to coordinate with their other activities.

Cappella's Director and co-ordinator of programs is Geoff Hansplant, a musician / songwriter / recording artist with over forty years of musical experience and a Masters Degree in Education. Tuition at Cappella is paid on a month to month basis, with affordable rates based on the length of the individual student's weekly lesson. We accept personal checks and all major credit cards, through our PayPal portal.

Cappella School of Music is located on the East Coast of the USA, but is happy to coordinate lessons with students, everywhere!

What Makes Cappella

Right For You?

While you are here researching the best options in music instruction for your family, we encourage you to  consider the benefits of becoming a Cappella student and finding out why we may be your best choice for  lessons on all instruments and voice.

10 Benefits of Becoming a Cappella Student:

1. Guitar, Piano, Voice, Drums, Bass, Strings and Band Instrument Lessons from Wherever You Are

Our online platform saves students time and money, as families can study multiple instruments from the comfort of their own home, or even while on vacation!.  No more worries about juggling hectic schedules of multiple family members, or of traveling to lessons in bad weather. Plus, we teach electric and acoustic guitar, electric and upright bass, voice, piano and drum set, plus all the strings and almost every instrument in the school jazz band.

2. A Seasoned Staff of Professional Teachers

We have a great and long tenured staff, all with either University degrees or professional performance experience.  Our  teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them.  We are confident that we have the right one to meet your needs.  In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn.

4. A Proven Track Record of Excellence

The Cappella School of Music started life in 2005 as the SoundStage School of Music and retains five teachers and one of the founding partners from that great staff. Geoff Hansplant still oversees the entire workings of the school and is committed to making this the very best musical education experience you can have. The Cappella School of Music pledges to carry forward a proven track record of offering quality  lessons, year round.  Our full time mission is teaching music.

5. Graduated Lessons Tailored to the Needs of Each Student

There is a wealth of music lesson options on the internet today. However, the overwhelming majority of them are stand alone lessons; lessons that assume a certain base knowledge of your instrument and that do not necessarily lead anywhere beyond that specific lesson.  At Cappella, our instruction begins wherever you are starting, and our staff develop a tailored curriculum of lessons based on your own needs and interests.

6. Convenient Rescheduling of Missed Lessons

From time to time, everyone's schedule has the occasional blip. If you need to miss a lesson, for any reason at all, try to give us a head's up. Even if you can not do so, email the school and we will gladly schedule a make up lesson for you.

7. Patient, Caring, Friendly Staff

Music, like all learning, is about far more than developing technical proficiency on a given instrument. It is about working together, exploring the process together, finding ways to make meaningful connections with other people, and ways to express what lives within your own heart.  Our Staff of great teachers, are also great people - people who love to teach and help students navigate their own paths to self-expression.

8. Personal Attention to Your Needs

When you call or e-mail The Cappella School of Music, you will have the attention of the owner of the business.  We we make it our personal business to be the best music school on the net.

9. Our Location is the World

Our time zone may be Eastern Standard, but the wonders of computer telecommunications means that we can see students, worldwide.  If your desire is to explore music, we are here to help you on your journey of discovery!

10. Month to Month Lessons

We do not require semester minimums for lessons.  Every student here studies on a month to month basis.  Your commitment to us is a month at a time and our commitment to you is to keep you happy and coming back for more.

If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
