Cappella School of Music Tuition Policy

The Cappella School of Music operates on a monthly tuition basis.  Students who attend for a half hour private weekly lesson pay  $135.00 per month.  There is a discount offered for students attending  hour long weekly lessons.  In this case, students pay $240 per month.  For that, they can study one instrument or voice for a solid hour, or take two separate half hour lessons on different instruments.

The tuition is calculated on a twelve month school calendar year which includes four weeks of holiday vacation time for the school year.  Typically, students  receive four lessons per month.  In some months,  just because of the way the calendar works, students will receive five lessons.  And in other months, when a holiday comes into play, students may receive three lessons.  The student tuition is the same regardless.  Over the course of the school year, all students receive the same number of lessons, typically forty-seven.  Students may terminate their enrollment at Cappella at any time by simply notifying us and finishing out the current month.

There is a one time registration fee of $25.00, payable with the student's first month's tuition.

Cappella is a music school providing more than just music lessons with your tuition.  With your enrollment you receive:

  1. A 30 or 60 minute private  time slot with your chosen teacher

  2. Parent / Teacher conferences twice per year

  3. The most liberal make-up policy for missed lessons.

In order for us to hire the very best professional teachers, we guarantee their fees. Once you are booked, your teacher will be there and they will be paid even if you cancel. Therefore, it is important to note that lack of attendance for any reason does not allow for a tuition rebate, refund or credit towards future monthly tuition.

Some students may only attend their private lesson sporadically but choose to schedule occasional block make ups.  How you use the school is up to you. However, for maximum musical growth we encourage you to attend as many of your private lessons as possible.

If for any reason a student needs to miss a lesson, simply email the school to notify the teachers and administration.  Leave us a message indicating the student's upcoming absence and we will respond with options for make up lessons.
